Overview

At a special launch event on March 6, 2025, held at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, the Miami DDA unveiled the Interactive 3D Development Map.  This cutting-edge, interactive 3D skyline mapping tool details new and current real estate development projects in downtown Miami, including the Central Business District, Brickell, and the Arts & Entertainment District.  As one of America's fastest-growing major cities, per the latest U.S. Census Bureau data, Miami's dynamic growth is showcased through this innovative tool, offering a glimpse into the vibrant present and the visionary future of downtown Miami.

This open-platform digital twin offers a real-time, interactive visualization of Downtown Miami's urban landscape, enabling stakeholders to explore existing buildings, track projects under construction, and gain insights into upcoming developments in the pipeline.  Designed to improve transparency and decision-making, the digital twin allows users—including citizens, business owners, developers, and policymakers—to navigate a detailed virtual model of Downtown.  The map includes customizable layers showing building status (existing, under construction, or planned), transportation infrastructure, public amenities, and zoning boundaries.  This tool allows users to simulate development scenarios and evaluate the impact of policy, planning, and investment decisions.  Finally, our 3D map enhances access to critical data and supports more informed choices on transit connectivity, public space upgrades, historic preservation, and sustainable development.
