Getting to and Around Downtown

Downtown Miami is the walkable epicenter of a city that is among the Top-5 most walkable in the United States, according to Walk Score.

Getting around by foot to many places within Downtown is a no brainer, and for longer jumps we have the free automated Metromover system that quickly will take you around Downtown with ease. The times between trains is always minimal, and this system also affords a commanding birds eye view of Downtown. For trips out of Downtown we have our also-free City of Miami Trolley system that connects to popular surrounding destinations, this system complements our modern county Metrobus system that has bus coverage of the region. Longer distance rail is here too- in the form of the most robust systems in the Southeast.

We have Tri-rail to take you throughout South Florida via local train service, Brightline for express service through South Florida, and Metrorail for more immediate metropolitan area service- including a convenient Miami International Airport Transit Center link. From here you have access to hundreds of flights, the Greyhound and Megabus systems, and Amtrak.

Motorists can come to Downtown Miami via interstates connecting Miami to points North, local highways, and a road system that can take you from Downtown to the Everglades and beyond. Downtown has ample public and private parking lots and garages to have you spend less time circling, and more time enjoying.
