DWNTWN Miami Concert Series


It's all about romance and the Big Band sound when the South Florida Jazz Orchestra brings their swinging ways to the Tina Hilla Pavilion on Friday, February 12, 2010.  The orchestra is an amazingly tight ensemble with bouncy swing and big jazz sounds - a musical treat for the ear and a dance treat for the "swinger" in you.  Miami's own Nicole Henry joins the orchestra for a little romance from the Great American Song book.  Her sound described as 'sensual and romantic,' is a perfect accompaniment for a glass of wine under the stars.

Flagler Fest is Back!


Flagler Fest is here! Come on down for this fun-filled, family-friendly day in Downtown Miami. Visit the collection of antique, vintage, hot-rod cars and check out the motorcycle show. For the little ones is the Children’s Corner with face painting, petting zoo, and bounce house. Don't miss the classic movie "Herbie: The Love Bug" screening at the Gusman Center at 12pm for FREE.  On February 6, the place to be is at Flagler Fest in Downtown Miami.

Request for Proposals
The Miami Downtown Development Authority (DDA) issued a Request For Proposals (RFP No. 10-03) seeking proposals for consulting services to provide Ambassador Services. A pre-submittal conference will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 11:30 am at 200 S. Biscayne Blvd., #2929 Miami, Florida.

Submissions are due no later than 2:00 pm on Monday, March 8, 2010.
