Miami Downtown Development Authority Ambassadors Program

 

Downtown AmbassadorDWNTWN Ambassadors provide security and hospitality related services to the Downtown area.  The DWNTWN Ambassadors staff is trained to ensure that your visit to the Downtown area is welcoming and memorable. Feel free to stop any of our staff members if you should need assistance or directions.
The Ambassadors team consists of 14 Ambassadors that patrol on foot and bicycle, seven days a week.
 
Monday through Friday – 8:30 am – 6:30 pm
Thursday through Saturday – 6:30 pm – Midnight
Saturday and Sunday – 8:30 – 4:30 pm
 
The Ambassadors work cooperatively as additional eyes and ears for the City of Miami Police Department, maintaining a professional relationship with all local law enforcement, code enforcement, and city entities. The goal of the program is to address issues that affect the quality of life in Downtown and to strive to make Downtown Miami one of the most livable cities in the country.

The program is co-managed by the DDA and Andrews International, Inc. a private security firm.  The DDA is responsible for program development, supervision of daily operations and assisting with resolving problems with other agencies.  Andrews International is responsible for hiring, basic security, training, and managing personnel.
