Foreign Policy Magazine: Swooning over Miami

The September/October issue of Foreign Policy Magazine examines Global Cities and Miami has a solid rank of 33 out of 65 cities on the “Global Cities Index 2010”.   In an interview for the magazine writer Christina Larson speaks with author Saskia Sassen, who coined the term "global city" and as she tells the magazine: “Don't focus only on London and New York. Fall For The Arts Festival at the Arsht Center

Miami-Dade’s cultural and community service organizations come together to celebrate the kickoff of the arts season with the Fall For The Arts Festival, Sunday, September 12 from 12 noon to 6 pm, at the Arsht Center.  This free admission event includes two performance stages, children’s activities, more than 100 arts available for purchase and much more.

Downtown Miami Condo Market Stabilizing

A new study released by the Miami Downtown Development Authority finds that sales of downtown condos were up 110% during the first six months of the year, effectively shrinking the inventory of available condos in the market to approximately 5,400 units and driving average prices up 16%. Furthermore, the study finds that condo and apartment rentals have increased by 14% during the first six months of 2010. Get the latest report...
